Gastrectomy (partial And Total)
Gastrectomy (partial and total) is an advanced gastrointestinal surgical procedure offered at Moolchand Hospital, one of the best hospitals in Delhi for stomach cancer and complex digestive disorders. The surgery involves removal of part or the entire stomach depending on the severity, location, and stage of the disease.
In a partial gastrectomy, only the affected portion of the stomach is removed. This may include the distal (lower) or proximal (upper) part of the stomach depending on the disease location. In a total gastrectomy, the entire stomach is removed, and the esophagus is directly connected to the small intestine to maintain continuity of the digestive system.
