Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) is an advanced, minimally invasive diagnostic procedure performed at Moolchand Hospital, one of the best hospitals in Delhi for lungs treatment. It combines bronchoscopy with ultrasound imaging to provide real-time visualization of the airways, lungs, and surrounding lymph nodes without the need for open surgery.
During the procedure, a flexible bronchoscope fitted with an ultrasound probe is inserted through the mouth or nose into the airways. The ultrasound enables the pulmonologist to clearly view lymph nodes, tumors, and other masses near the bronchi. A fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy can be performed simultaneously to collect tissue or fluid samples for laboratory analysis.
EBUS is widely used at our chest hospital in Delhi for diagnosing lung cancer, staging mediastinal lymph nodes, identifying sarcoidosis, tuberculosis, lymphoma, and other pulmonary conditions. It is a safer and more accurate alternative to traditional mediastinoscopy, offering faster recovery and fewer complications.
As one of the best lung cancer hospitals in Delhi and a trusted multi super speciality hospital, Moolchand Hospital in Lajpat Nagar is equipped with the latest EBUS technology handled by expert pulmonologists and thoracic specialists.
Our team of globally acclaimed super specialists has pioneered several endobronchial ultrasound (ebus) surgeries.
