Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) Therapy
Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) therapy is a non-invasive, FDA-approved treatment for chronic stable angina and heart failure, available at Moolchand Hospital — widely regarded as the best heart hospital in Delhi. EECP is particularly beneficial for patients who are not candidates for angioplasty, bypass surgery, or have not responded adequately to medications.
During EECP therapy, the patient lies on a padded table while inflatable cuffs are wrapped around the calves, thighs, and lower buttocks. These cuffs are electronically synchronized with the patient's heartbeat using an ECG monitor. During the heart's resting phase (diastole), the cuffs rapidly inflate — squeezing blood from the lower body upward toward the heart, increasing coronary blood flow. At the onset of heartbeat (systole), the cuffs deflate, reducing the heart's workload.
EECP stimulates the development of natural bypass vessels (collaterals) in the heart muscle, providing long-term improvement in blood supply. A standard course consists of 35 one-hour sessions typically spread over 7 weeks.
As a leading cardiac hospital in Delhi with expert cardiologists and the latest cardiac technology, Moolchand Hospital provides comprehensive EECP therapy for patients with ischemic heart disease, offering a safe, effective, and completely non-surgical path to cardiac recovery.
Our team of globally acclaimed super specialists has pioneered several enhanced external counterpulsation (eecp) therapy surgeries.

Primary or emergency angioplasty
Primary angioplasty (Primary PCI) is the gold-standard emergency treatment for heart attacks, involving the immediate opening of a blocked coronary artery using a balloon and stent to restore blood flow and minimize heart muscle damage.
