Endotracheal Intubation
Endotracheal intubation is one of the most fundamental and life-saving airway management procedures performed at Moolchand Hospital, one of the best surgery hospitals in Delhi. It involves inserting a flexible plastic tube (endotracheal tube or ET tube) through the mouth or nose, past the vocal cords, and into the trachea (windpipe) to maintain a secure airway.
This procedure is essential in various clinical situations including general anaesthesia for surgery, respiratory failure, unconsciousness, cardiac arrest, severe trauma, and any condition where a patient cannot breathe adequately on their own. Once intubated, the patient can be connected to a mechanical ventilator to support breathing.
Endotracheal intubation is performed by trained anaesthesiologists and critical care specialists at Moolchand Hospital using laryngoscopy (direct or video-assisted) to visualize the airway. Medications are administered to sedate the patient and relax the muscles before tube insertion.
As a leading multi super speciality hospital in Delhi and a trusted best private hospital in Delhi, Moolchand Hospital has a fully equipped ICU, operation theatres, and a skilled team of anaesthesiologists to handle both planned and emergency intubations safely.
Our team of globally acclaimed super specialists has pioneered several endotracheal intubation surgeries.

Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion
Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA) insertion is an anaesthetic airway management technique in which a supraglottic airway device is placed into the pharynx to maintain a clear airway and deliver anaesthetic gases or oxygen during surgery or emergency resuscitation, without requiring endotracheal intubation.
