Rotational Atherectomy
Rotational atherectomy is an advanced interventional cardiology procedure used to treat severely calcified coronary artery disease. In this technique, a high-speed rotating burr is used to break down hard calcium deposits within the artery, allowing better expansion of balloons and optimal placement of stents.
This procedure is particularly beneficial in patients where standard angioplasty may not be effective due to rigid, calcified plaques. It improves procedural success, enhances stent delivery, and ensures better long-term outcomes in complex coronary interventions.
Our team of globally acclaimed super specialists has pioneered several rotational atherectomy surgeries.
