Orthodontic Treatment
Orthodontic treatment is a specialised dental service available at Moolchand Hospital, Delhi, aimed at correcting irregularly positioned teeth, overcrowding, spacing issues, and jaw misalignment (malocclusion). Well-aligned teeth are not only aesthetically pleasing but also easier to clean, reducing the risk of decay, gum disease, and jaw problems.
Orthodontic issues treated include crowded or overlapping teeth, widely spaced teeth, protruding teeth (buck teeth), underbite, overbite, crossbite, open bite, and midline discrepancies. These problems can arise from genetics, early loss of milk teeth, habits such as thumb sucking, or jaw growth abnormalities.
At Moolchand Hospital in Lajpat Nagar, our orthodontists offer a full range of treatment options including traditional metal braces, ceramic (tooth-coloured) braces, lingual braces (fitted to the back of teeth), and clear aligner therapy (invisible braces). Treatment is tailored to the patient's age, severity of misalignment, aesthetic preferences, and lifestyle.
Treatment duration varies from 12 months to 2.5 years depending on complexity. Digital treatment planning with 3D orthodontic models allows accurate visualisation of tooth movements and expected outcomes before treatment begins. Retainers are provided at the end of active treatment to maintain the corrected position of teeth.
