    About me

With an extensive experience of 13+ years, apart from routine gastro and liver patients, I am routinely referred a wide array of complex GI diseases and medical emergencies including life threatening intestinal bleeding, ingested foreign bodies and complicated liver problems. This has often involved saving patients with life threatening abdominal infections, liver cirrhosis, alcohol related liver prolems and endoscopic management of complications which would otherwise require surgery.

I have special interest in Biliary endoscopy which includes stone removal and stenting, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound, liver diseases, luminal endoscopy, obesity treatment and pancreatic endoscopy.

What I'd like to tell my patients

There is a general apprehension regarding procedures like endoscopy when visiting a gastroenterologist. Most patients are reluctant to see a doctor for the fear of being advised an endoscopic procedure. As a matter of principle, in my practice, I always prefer to use my clinical judgment and experience to relieve and manage symptoms. Endoscopic procedures are only used by me when an initial attempt on my part to treat the patient fails or if from the outset I find that indications like unexplained weight loss, low haemoglobin or bleeding from the digestive tract are pointing towards a more sinister outcome. Be assured that we are equal partners in fighting any ailment that you may have.

At Moolchand, my team and I go the extra mile to make you comfortable and work towards designing the most effective treatment plan for lower and upper GI infections. Whether it’s for routine care or highly specialized treatment in gastroenterology, Moolchand offers cutting edge technology (e.g. endocopic ultrasound, the most advanced laboratories and high-end imaging facilities). Our patient friendly model of care helps us offer effective and patient-friendly service, including shorter waits for appointments and more seamless interaction with all our specialists.
